I’ve sat where you’re sitting. I’ve felt the pressure of a bottom line, faced the headache of a five-alarm lawsuit, and fought for the wins that keep a dream alive.

I founded Larson Law Group with a simple, unwavering belief: Every case is winnable. After 35 years of building businesses from the ground up, I grew tired of “fancy” firms that charged big retainers but lacked the grit to actually fight. I believe the mark of a great lawyer isn’t the degree on the wall, but the refusal to accept defeat. As my mentor once told me: “Don’t tell me how we can lose, that’s the other side’s job. Tell me how we win.”

A Background Built in the Trenches

Most lawyers jump straight from textbooks to the courtroom. My path was different, defined by four distinct life experiences that I bring to every case:

• The Serial Entrepreneur: Since 1982, I’ve launched, scaled, and managed multiple businesses in the Greater Chicago area. When I give business or real estate advice, it isn’t academic theory, it’s hard-won wisdom from thirty years in the trenches.
• The First Responder: As a former firefighter for the Western Springs Fire Department, I learned to command chaos and make split-second decisions under extreme pressure. I treat your legal crisis with the same urgency and tactical focus as a first responder.
• The Injury Survivor: In 1985, a catastrophic accident nearly took my life, leaving me with a serious spinal injury. I don’t just read your medical reports; I understand the physical and emotional toll of recovery. I fight for injury victims because I’ve been one.
• The Hybrid Litigator: I am a “quarterback” for my clients, equally comfortable as a relentless negotiator at the closing table or a tactful litigator in the courtroom. Whether it’s personal injury, business law, real estate, medical malpractice, or complex commercial litigation, I expect my entire staff to adopt my “can-win” attitude.

Beyond the Boardroom

John’s drive to build a legacy is woven into his life. A family man with seven children and seven grandchildren, he understands the stakes of protecting a family’s future. To stay sharp for the courtroom, John remains active on the softball field and in backyard football games. When he isn’t fighting legal battles, he’s usually found with his guitar, bringing the same energy and sharp focus to his music that he brings to every case.
